Quiet and spacious retreat

What a special place! Conveniently located near I-40 and civilization (Walmart, food, and gas), we enjoyed getting away and relaxing with our family there while visiting the area. We thoroughly enjoyed preparing meals, spending time together on the full wrap around porch, and thought it was very unique you had a camel. Lucky us! What's more, it is equipped with WiFi, satellite TV, and landline for calls... but no Verizon cell phone coverage in the house/on property. The owners are very attentive to needs and wonderful to work with. Thanks again, We will be back!!

Beautiful, quiet, relaxing

A great comfortable house about 30 minutes from a lot of different possibilities. We brought two labs and our daughter and all were happy. Blackberries were ripening along the driveway, the resident outdoor cat greeted us each time we came home and the camel gingerly took carrots from our fingers. Not in the epicenter of things, but an easy drive to Asheville, Black Mountain, Linville Falls and Linville Gorge, Lake James, Lake Lune and Chimney Rock park-none outside an hour away. House is well laid out and easily fit the four of us and the dogs. Could easily sleep more comfortably. Awesome porch for reading and just relaxing.

Our stay at Raymond's cabin was very enjoyable. It is in a great location and very spacious. The cabin is equipped with everything you need for a great get-a-way. We loved using the fire pit and enjoying coffee on the porch.

This house is awesome! Really felt like home! Located in the woods, gives you complete privacy. Lots of space inside, huge bedrooms, tons of utensils in the kitchen. Everything was just like pictured, very clean and well taken care of. Huge covered porch around the house allowed kids to spend time outside even during the rain. The owner was great, very responsive and easy to deal with! Would definitely recommend this place to everyone and hope that someday we will visit it again !!!

We had a great stay in the cabin, it was secluded and beautiful.. the house itself was amazing, my family and I enjoyed it. We loved being able to feed Zuli the camel she was so friendly. Walking in the woods and sitting on the porch enjoying the porch swing. The cabin had anything you would need. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing setting I would recommend this cabin. The owners do everything they can to make it a great place to stay.

Great cabin overlooking what feels like your own hideaway. Close enough to everything but far enough to be a vacation. They say first impressions are lasting. My first impressions where clean, cozy, and charming. The host went out of their way to make things as comfortable as possible. It never seemed like an imposition for them to be contacted. I was hard to say good bye to such a great place and weekend.

The light was on when we got there to welcome us. The cabin was perfect and my family enjoyed the front porch with the swing and rocking chair. The camel was amazing to pet and feed. We bought plenty of carrots and apples. I really enjoyed the family size table so we all able to sit and eat together. I would recommend this cabin to family and friends. We hope to visit again in the summer months.Fall color was amazing around the was clean and had everything that you would need .

A great place to stay in the Asheville area.

The house is awesome, but Zuli is the best part.

We had a group of family stay at Raymond's cabin with 8 people in total. we also brought along our dogs. this cabin was wonderfully situated and accommodating for our group. there was plenty of room, the house is very spacious. it was clean, comfortable and exactly as we had been expecting. Raymond was extremely accommodating and easy to communicate with and the house is very secluded but convenient to many of the area's features. it is 5 miles from, Marion, 20 min from Black Mtn., NC and about 30-35 min from downtown Asheville. the cabin is nestled at the top of a hill in the woods and it is beautiful, comfortable and relaxing. my son had a fantastic time feeding Zuli, the resident camel, who lives in the barn at the bottom of the property. he fed her carrots and apples every day. Zuli always came to say hello when she saw cars or people coming toward the barn. we had a wonderful time and never felt like we were on top of one another. all in all...a wonderful visit, we highly recommend it for seclusion and relaxation. Loved the open floor plan and spaciousness of it. Lots of pots/pans, dishes and utensils. very convenient for guests who are traveling. and appreciated.
